League City Impact Go 2-0 to start the season

Impact Earns Walk-Off Win Over Houston Wildcatters Leyja


It came down to the wire on Sunday, as League City Impact grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over Houston Wildcatters Leyja. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the fifth when Drew B singled, scoring one run.


League City Impact 11U rallied for the victory despite trailing 5-1 in the third.


Houston Wildcatters were the first to get on the board in the first when Abraham P singled, scoring one run. League City Impact scored on a wild pitch, which helped League City Impact tie the game at one in the bottom of the second. In the top of the third inning, Houston Wildcatters went back into the lead after Jace S walked, Nolan S was struck by a pitch, Ethan W walked, and Kai C walked, each scoring one run.


League City Impact flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on four hits to take a 6-5 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Brayden O on a full count that drove in two. Jace singled, which helped Houston Wildcatters tie the game at six in the top of the fifth.


Jaxon C pitched three innings in relief for League City Impact. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit and three runs while, striking out one and walking three. Colton O began the game for League City Impact. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Ethan opened the game for Houston Wildcatters Leyja . They gave up zero hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out eight and walking two.


Brayden and Drew were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for League City Impact. Drew went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead League City Impact in hits. Levi E paced League City Impact 11U with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Khyber M stole two bases. League City Impact turned one double play in the game.


Jace drove the middle of the lineup, leading Houston Wildcatters with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Abraham, Reid S, Anthony P, Tate G, Kai, and Jace each collected one hit for Houston Wildcatters. Nolan stole two bases.


Impact Defeat Chargers in Nail-Biter

League City Impact built a 4-run lead in the second inning and then held off Charger's charge for a 7-6 victory on Sunday. Chargers closed the gap by scoring on a double, a single, a single, a single, a double, and a tag up.


League City Impact opened the scoring in the top of the second thanks to two singles. League City Impact first got on the board when Drew B singled, scoring one run.


Chargers tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a double by Brock P, a single by Liam T, a single by Cason W, and a single by Rawlings C.


League City Impact took the lead in the top of the third. Brayden O singled, scoring two runs, to give League City Impact 11U the upper hand, 6-4.


Brayden pitched three innings in relief for League City Impact. They gave up three hits and two runs while, striking out two and walking three. Levi E started on the mound for League City Impact. They allowed six hits and four runs (three earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Mason C started the game for Chargers. The righty gave up three hits and four runs over two innings, striking out two and walking two.


Drew and Khyber M each collected two hits for League City Impact. Khyber went 2-for-2 at the plate as the outfielder led the team with three runs batted in. Colton O stole two bases.


Leadoff hitter Cason led Chargers with three hits in three at bats. Brooks A collected two hits for Chargers in three at bats. Chargers turned one double play in the game. Chargers didn't commit a single error in the field. Graham S had the most chances in the field with five.
